2.0 Pledges

Enliven human belonging with diverse groups at every turn.

We pledge to remain an unwavering advocate and ally in solidarity with caring, justice-deserving groups of all kinds. We will do so by weaving threads of Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (BIDEA) into the fabric of our every action, including:

• Deepen belonging
  Deepen belonging by bolstering human connections and acceptance, especially with 2SLGBTQIA+ and Women, Trans, Non-binary people. This will result in increased personal wellbeing and collective spirit.
  
  
• Strengthen inclusion
  Strengthen inclusion by welcoming and embracing different perspectives, particularly with Youth, Newcomers, Francophones, Sign Languages, and other language minorities. This will result in enhanced empathy and opportunities for storytelling.
  
  
• Celebrate diversity
  Celebrate diversity in human identities, experiences, and cultures, especially with Indigenous, Black, and other racialized people of colour. This will result in increased unity, solidarity, safety, and healing.
  
  
• Boost equity
  Boot equity by ensuring justice, fairness, and equality, particularly with Outside the Core and Low-income communities. This will result in improved representation and participation.
  
  
• Enable access
  Enable access by providing ample resources and opportunities, especially with D/deaf and Disabled people. This will result in increased innovation and care.
